We don't need to remind you just how fast today's World Rally Championship (WRC) cars are. But we're going to anyway.

Citroën Racing team recently put on a tarmac test day for drivers Mads Østberg and Craig Breen on the stages of Rally Germany, set to take place in August. Rally-Mag was on scene for the event recording the cars on stage and talking to drivers. Unsurprisingly, the cars look ridiculously quick.

WRC cars are already rapid on loose surfaces, but when you give them sticky tires and put them on asphalt, they achieve an entirely different level of speed. Combine the car's abilities with the driver's precision, and you get some truly stunning footage of rally action.

Before we get to see WRC cars descend on Germany's hilly farmlands en masse, the series will first visit Scandinavia for Rally Finland, scheduled for mid-July. We're sure that event will produce some equally entertaining footage too.
