2025 Cadillac Optiq EV SUV Has Standard AWD and Starts at $54,390
Cadillac has released pricing for the 2025 Optiq, which starts at $54,390.
The electric compact SUV will feature two trims, Luxury and Sport; the latter starts at $54,990 and eclipses $57K.
The Optiq slots below the Lyriq EV in Cadillac's lineup, and it will also be eligible for the full $7500 federal tax credit.
The electric Cadillac Lyriq will soon be joined on showroom floors by a smaller sibling, the 2025 Cadillac Optiq. The new compact EV SUV shares its battery and dual-motor all-wheel-drive powertrain with the Chevy Equinox EV, but the ritzier Caddy version is much more expensive.
Cadillac will offer the Optiq with two distinct trim levels, Luxury and Sport. However, within those trims, each will have two different levels of standard equipment. The Optiq Luxury 1 starts at $54,390. Stepping up to the Luxury 2 version pushes that price to $56,590. Then there's the Optiq Sport 1 and 2 that start at $54,990 and $57,090, respectively.
Every Optiq is powered by two electric motors making a combined 300 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque. The juice comes from an 85.0-kWh battery that's expected to provide about 300 miles of range. The Optiq also uses a 400-volt electrical architecture, and its 150-kW max DC fast-charging rate is said to provide up to 79 miles of range in 10 minutes.
The similarly sized Equinox EV and the larger Lyriq are both currently eligible for the full $7500 federal tax credit. While the Optiq isn't yet on the EPA's list of eligible EV's, Cadillac has confirmed to Car and Driver that the Optiq will be eligible for the full credit when it goes on sale later this year. With the credit applied, the Optiq's base price will drop below $47K.
