Lamborghini Aventador J roadster dances with the devil for $1.8 million

When Satan came for Robert Johnson's soul at the crossroads, all he had to hand over was the keys to the blues. Next time you find yourself dealing with the devil, settle for nothing less than this: the $1.8 million Lamborghini Aventador J roadster, a one-of-one guided Italian missile unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show. We're sure the devil knows who owns it.

Starting with the everyday 700-hp Aventador, Lamborghini taunted the bull even further by removing the roof, adding several aerodynamic panels and generally shucking weight from a car that only had 3,472 lbs. to begin with. Even the seat fabrics have been swapped for something Lamborghini calls "Carbonskin," a fabric made from carbon fibers that's at least a decade away from being used on a teenager's hat. With no windshield, the interior has to get some form of waterproofing; the rear mirror pops up like Wall-E's head from the center of the dash. It and the roll bars behind the driver are the highest points in the car.

Lamborghini says it will build just one copy of the Aventador J, no matter how much money people throw at the company. We're sure Lamborghini will find another way to separate money from people who lust for one in their garages.
