What Car Has The Most Egregious Design Flaw?

In case you don’t know, it takes car designers years of education, training and development before they’re allowed to tackle say, the swoop of a windshield or the kink in a window. Parts are drafted on computers, crafted into clay and finally built into full prototypes. Every part of a car is supposed to be a thoughtful, detailed process.

But it rarely works out like that.

Instead brand new, supposedly well-thought out cars are still built with truly baffling decisions that make you stop and wonder How? Andy recently did a full-send rant about the headlight control set up for the Chevy Colorado. Your mind might rush to the rise of the iPad center stack, like the extremely distracting one in the Volvo EX30. Or maybe I’ll opine on the world’s most stupidest (and possibly deadly) door handles from Tesla. Heck we could do a whole slideshow just on the components needlessly complicated by Tesla (touch screen gearshift? Really!?). Maybe the Cadillac Lyriq, which has a glovebox only accessible via a touchscreen release.

What’s your pet peeve? What car has a unique or inventive approach to an already solved problem that makes you go “why for the love of god why did they design this like this?”
