Life is unreasonably expensive in our post-pandemic, geopolitically spicy modern world, but life doesn’t wait for prices to fall — if you need a car ASAP and the budget is tight, Jalopnik has your back. This list of lease deals good through the end of Marchis ranked from the cheapest cost per month to the most expensive cost per month. I based the ranking on real cost, which is listed in the title of each slide and accounts for the advertised monthly payment plus the down payment split evenly across each month of the lease. It’s a great way to contextualize the true cost of the time that a leased vehicle is yours.

This list is directly based on Cars Direct’s cheapest car lease deals for March of 2024. It is a trusted resource for finding great deals on new cars, even the deals that the car dealers don’t want you to know about, so use this knowledge wisely. Unfortunately, many of the lease deals on this list are regional or include brand loyalty discounts, but the best deals on this list are nationally advertised and don’t require you to be an active military officer while also being a student who is brand loyal and also a veteran like so many discounts out there.

This list includes cutting edge electric cars, compact sedans, and an array of trendy crossovers for those of you who need an elevated seating position, so there should be a little something for everyone. I will follow up on this blog with April’s best lease deals as soon as possible.

2024 Hyundai Ioniq 6 SE —$249 Per Month

This is the best lease deal currently offered on any car in March according to Cars Direct. The offer is good through April 1, and it’s a 24-month lease priced at $239 per month with $239 due at signing. This is advertised as a national deal and it’s honestly an incredible price, but inventory of vehicles eligible for this pricing may be limited in your region.

2024 Hyundai Kona Electric SE —$252 Per Month

Hyundai’s second appearance on this list is another banger. It’s offering Kona Electric SEs across the nation for $169 per month for 24 months with $1,999 due at signing. That means the real cost is a paltry $252 per month, and Hyundai is also offering Kona Electric SELs for just $10 more per month if you want more features.

2024 Hyundai Elantra SE —$296 Per Month

Hyundai’s third appearance on this list is the most affordable internal combustion car, and it’s the strong selling Elantra SE. This is a 36-month lease that will cost customers $199 per month with $3,499 due at signing. Unfortunately this offer is only available to those in the Los Angeles area, so if you’re not in LA and want to take advantage of this deal, check out the next slide for a potential solution.

2024 Kia Forte LSX —$296 Per Month

Hyundai and Kia cars might not be viewed as the insane bargains they were when the companies first started selling cars in the U.S., but it turns out the two Korean giants still hold the affordability crown in lease deals. This is the same deal as the Elantra lease, but it’s offered across California and select other states. It’s a a 36-month lease that will cost buyers $199 per month with $3,499 due at signing. With the real cost averaging out to $296 per month, that’s a great deal, but the new K4 was just revealed and it looks way cooler than the Forte.

2024 Mazda CX-30 2.5 S Select Sport AWD —$305 Per Month

Los Angeles is a city built around the automobile, and automakers must know it’s a hot market since many offer lease deals for LA buyers only. Mazda is offering 2024 CX-30 S Select Sport AWD models for $194 for 36 months with $3,999 due at signing. The real cost averages out to $305 per month, so this is the cheapest advertised lease deal currently available for an internal combustion crossover, and you even get AWD for those rough LA winters.

2024 Chevrolet Trailblazer LT FWD — $325 Per Month

If you live outside of Los Angeles and want an affordable gas powered crossover, Chevrolet has you covered with this national lease deal. Chevy is offering some 2024 Trailblazer LT FWD models at $239 per month for 36 months with $1,669 due at signing. But the deal only applies to front-wheel-drive models, so if you need AWD, you’ll have to pay more.

2024 Chevrolet Equinox 1LT — $330 Per Month

This is the cheapest lease deal on a small SUV at the moment, and the offer is nationwide. Chevy is offering some Equinox 1LTs at $299 per month for 36 months with $1,109 due at signing. This Equinox body style is being replaced this year, which ideally that means most of the platform’s kinks have been ironed out by now, so this is a solid deal for a spacious family crossover.

2024 Buick Envista Preferred — $338 Per Month

Buick’s latest models have won the hearts of many with their enticing looks, affordable prices, and desirable features. The Envista is a stylish semi-luxury crossover coupe that shares a platform with the Chevy Trax, which means it’s spacious for its class but underpowered. Buick is offering some Envista Preferred models at $179 for 24 months with $3,819 due at signing. This is a nationwide deal with one big caveat: you must be a qualified current Buick or GMC lessee to be eligible for this deal.

2024 Honda Accord LX — $346 Per Month

The good ol’ Honda Accord made the list of best lease deals right now, and I’m glad it makes an appearance among all the other crossovers and smaller sedans. Unfortunately, this nationwide lease deal is only available to qualified current Honda lessees, but if you fit that category this is a killer deal. Honda is offering some 2024 Accord LXs at $249 per month for 36 months with $3,499 due at signing. I had a Honda Accord as an Uber recently and I was SHOCKED by how luxurious it felt; it was nearly silent and hugely spacious, and Honda’s legendary reliability is an added bonus.

2024 Buick Encore GX Preferred 1SB — $355 Per Month

Buick makes another appearance on this list with its smallest model, the Encore GX. Sadly this is another lease deal that only applies to current Buick or GMC lessees, but it’s still a bargain. Buick is offering some Encore GX Preferred models at $199 per month for 24 months with $3,736 due at signing. This deal is said to be available nationwide, but honestly the Envista’s deal is better, and you get a bigger, more stylish car.

2024 Subaru Legacy Base — $360 Per Month

If you live in the Los Angeles area and all-wheel drive is on your list of must-haves, Subaru’s got you covered, offering some Legacy Base models at $269 per month for 36 months with $3,269 due at signing. Base Legacy models are blessed with a simplified infotainment system that is easier to get along with than the giant touchscreen interface in higher trims, so that’s an added benefit to the great deal.

Listen up New Yorkers, Nissan is offering you some Altima SV models at $279 per month for 36 months with $3,059 due at signing. This is the only New York City–specific lease deal that made the list, so if you’re a real New Yorker, you’ll lease an Altima.

2024 Subaru Crosstrek Base — $370

Subaru is catering to the Angelenos again with this Crosstrek lease deal. Subaru’s wildly popular subcompact crossover comes with standard all-wheel drive, and Subaru is offering some Crosstrek Base models at $299 per month for 36 months with $2,549 due at signing. The Crosstrek is a solid choice for shoppers, with admirable efficiency, commendable interior space, and the added benefit of becoming a part of Subaru’s quirky cool granola community.

2024 Hyundai Tucson SEL — $370 Per Month

The fourth Hyundai on this list is the crowd pleasing Tucson, though this lease deal is also limited to Los Angeles area shoppers only. Hyundai is offering some Tucson SELs at $259 per month for 36 months with $3,999 due at signing. The SEL is one step above the base trim, so this deal gets customers standard features like heated front seats, a power adjustable driver’s seat, and a hands-free automatic tailgate.

2024 GMC Terrain SLE-1 AWD — $386 Per Month

This is the least compelling deal on the list, but it might be the right deal for some shoppers. GMC is offering some Terrain SLE-1 AWD models at $199 per month for 24 months with $4,499 due at signing. This deal is only available to qualified current Buick or GMC lessees, though it is offered nationwide.
