Yahoo Autos Our Fourth Hudson Quattrocento Is Coming This Fall
Road & Track has now hosted three editions of the Hudson Quattroctento rally. If you are familiar with our experiences, you know the idea: two dozen cars take to the thrilling back roads of the Hudson Valley for a 400-mile grand tour through Connecticut and New York. The fourth annual event will keep the format, but we're upgrading the route. Get ready for a Hudson Quattrocento unlike any other.
The rally starts with a completely new concept. On day 1, we head to the one-of-a-kind Wilzig Racing Manor for a private tour of a property that hosts both a 150-year-old house and a private racing track. As there is a racing track on the property, track time will follow.
After a stay at the Hotel Innes, the rally continues to its centerpiece: Road & Track's home-away-from-home at Lime Rock Park. Our day at Connecticut's classic racing circuit will include time on both the main track and a unique infield autocross circuit, plus ride-along laps with our editors and special guests on the track itself. After a drive along the Hudson River to Scribners Catskill Lodge, we end the day with our fourth annual Hudson Quattrocento Honors dinner.
On day 3, the focus is on the beautiful back roads through the Catskill Mountains. Our route winds through Woodstock before heading north to Saratoga Springs, where we will stop for the night at the Adelphi Hotel. We tour the latest exhibits at the city's famous Saratoga Auto Museum the next morning, then wrap the week with closing remarks.
The rally is being held October 17 through 20. Applications are open now, so be sure to plan ahead for a memorable week of fast cars in one of the country's most scenic locations.
