Rodeo Drive Concours d’Elegance Hosts Nearly 50,000 at 29th Annual Father’s Day Car Show

The 29th annual Rodeo Drive Concours d’Elegance, powered by O’Gara Coach, saw nearly 50,000 car enthusiasts, families, and fathers flock to Beverly Hills on Sunday, June 16. The renowned event transformed the iconic Rodeo Drive into a stunning showcase of classic and modern vehicles, celebrating Father’s Day with an unparalleled car show.

"Celebrating dads and families with a free, world-class car show is what makes this day so special," said Bruce Meyer, founder of the Rodeo Drive Concours d’Elegance. The event featured a diverse array of vehicles, from a 1914 Mercer Type 35-J Raceabout to a 2023 Hennessey Venom F5 Coupe, and provided fun for all attendees. Beverly Hills Mayor Lester Friedman echoed Meyer’s sentiments, emphasizing the unique atmosphere and community spirit of the event.

Highlighting the show was the on-stage awards presentation, where legendary comedian and car collector Jay Leno joined Meyer, Mayor Friedman, and Rodeo Drive Committee President Kay Monica Rose. Phillip Sarofim’s 1979 Porsche 935 was awarded Best in Show, while Aaron Weiss’ 1931 Cadillac Sport Phaeton won the Mayor’s Award for Most Elegant. The Beverly Hills Blockbuster Award for Most Eye Appeal went to Michael Kerns' 1967 Bizzarrini 5300 Strada.

Attendees also enjoyed displays of new luxury models, including the Aston Martin Vantage and McLaren Artura Spider. The Netflix film "Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F" hosted an interactive display, and the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix featured 2024 F1 show cars. Proceeds from the event benefited the Beverly Hills Police Officers Association and Beverly Hills Firefighters’ Association, with $7,500 checks presented to each.
