Yes, the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk Can Nürburgring

Jeep made the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk for just three glorious years, wrapping up production of the Hellcat-powered SUV back in 2021. As the name indicates, it is the most track-ready Jeep product ever built. That may seem like faint praise, and it is, but the Trackhawk still looks at home on a race track. Even at the Nürburgring.

'Ring-based YouTuber Misha Charoudin, who you may have seen run the track in everything from an E30 M3 to a Rolls-Royce Ghost, was given the chance to do a lap in a Trackhawk earlier this week. The car's owner rode along for the lap, providing commentary as Charoudin ran all out.

While the Jeep is certainly no sport sedan, Charoudin was still able to wheel around the legendary track at full aggression. Even though this is a lap in a last-gen Grand Cherokee, his only concern was an overheating warning near the end of the lap. While the car's lap time is nothing special, it was fast enough for him to pass much more capable cars throughout the run, including a 911 and an M4. Of course, this being a public session on the, 'Ring, he also yielded for a quicker driver in an R8.

Jeep no longer produces the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, but, if you absolutely need a Hellcat V-8 in an SUV, Dodge has once again resumed putting the engine in Durangos. That car may not be as prepared for the Nordscheliefe, but it sure does haul a full compliment of people and cargo with the help of over 700 horsepower.
