Yahoo Autos This Is Your Last Shot to Buy an Alfa Romeo Quadrifoglio for Now
Alfa Romeo's century-long legacy has always been centered on performance and the end of its gasoline era will be no different. As the Stellantis-owned manufacturer begins its electric transition, the outgoing high-power Quadrifoglio versions of its Stelvio SUV and Giulia sedan are set for something special.
Alfa announced Wednesday that to mark the beginning of the end for its gasoline-powered performance cars, the Giulia and Stelvio will get a Quadrifoglio Super Sport model. A total of 450 units will be produced, including 275 units for the Guilia and 175 units for the Stelvio. Just 72 Giulias and 52 Stelvios will come to the U.S. market.
The majority of the differences found on these special editions are visual. A redesigned Quadrifoglio logo, extensive use of carbon fiber, a murdered-out paint job, and five-hole alloy wheels. Inside the new Quadrifoglio Super Sport models, red carbon-fiber trim and model-specific red embroidery are also present. An exposed carbon-fiber roof is available on the Giulia while a dual-pane sunroof is an option for the Stelvio.
Alfa Romeo's crown jewel 2.9-liter twin-turbo V-6 engine sits under the hoods, boasting 505 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque. A mechanical limited-slip differential is also borrowed from the Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA and implemented on this special edition Giulia. Both models benefit from a carbon-fiber driveshaft, four-mode Alfa DNA Pro selector, and Alfa's Chassis Domain Control system. Notably, the Guilia tops out at 191 mph, aided by an active carbon-fiber front splitter.

"While we look forward to the future of the four-leaf clover with the amazing performance benefits of electrification, the twin-turbo V-6 Super Sport is a fitting final chapter to the combustion engine Quadrifoglio in the U.S., and we’re thrilled to bring an exclusive number to Alfisti in America."
These special edition models won't be cheap, either. Starting at $88,365 for the Giulia Quadrifoglio Super Sport and $95,965 for the Stelvio Quadrifoglio Super Sport (including a $1595 destination charge), order books are now open. Dealerships will receive the final Quadrifoglio Super Sport units this fall.
Alfa Romeo previously said it will exclusively sell electric cars starting in 2027. Additionally, the brand recently launched its first EV in Europe, known as the Alfa Romeo Junior. Alfa also has plans to launch a new vehicle on Stellantis' new STLA electric platform. Get those high-powered V-6s while you can.
