After years of anticipation and development hurdles, Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus (SCG) is on the brink of transitioning the 004S from prototype to production. The 004S, a road-going version of SCG's race-bred 004, is set to revolutionize the supercar landscape with its unique three-seat configuration and race-inspired design. Priced around £350,000, the 004S is SCG's answer to the growing demand for high-performance, road-legal cars that draw directly from the adrenaline of the racetrack.
As SCG prepares for the upcoming Nürburgring 24 Hours with its 004 racer, the team is also diligently working to finalize the 004S for its debut to eager customers. The supercar has successfully undergone rigorous crash testing, simulated road trials covering 100,000 miles, and extensive high and low temperature testing. These developments signify SCG's commitment to delivering a vehicle that not only excels in performance but also meets the high standards of road safety and durability.
A significant hurdle in the development process was the modification of the car's structure to accommodate two rear passenger seats, mirroring the iconic seating arrangement of the McLaren F1.
