View Photos of Ferry Porsche's 1977 Porsche 911 Turbo
When the Porsche Museum asks if you want to drive Ferry Porsche's personal 911 Turbo company car, you don't shy away from that once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
This is no ordinary 1977 Porsche 911 Turbo.
This was Ferry Porsche's own company car when it was new.
While the Turbo made 256 horsepower in Europe, stricter emissions controls limited its output to 234 horses in the U.S.
The Turbo had enough motive force to reach 60 mph in 4.8 seconds and continue through the quarter-mile in 13.5 seconds at 103 mph.
When it was new, the 911 Turbo carried a $25,975 price.
The interior is truly a sight to be seen.
This 911 Turbo has about 10,800 miles on it, according to the odometer.
Despite some bad weather and rush-hour traffic, we had a blast.
