For the 1974 model year, the Thunderbird could be purchased with the Burgundy Luxury Group option package, which included either "Red Victoria Velour Cloth Trim" or "Dark Red leather seating surfaces with vinyl trim."

Gold pinstripes! Wire wheel covers! Dark Red Odense grain vinyl roof! And for a mere $798 extra ($5,378 in 2024 dollars), the power moonroof that allowed the Burgundy Edition Thunderbird owner to leer down menacingly at his date in the passenger seat.
