Kia gave its stylish Carnival minivan a makeover for 2025, retrofitting a larger grille as well as revised LED headlights and taillights. Along with sharper looks, Kia also now offers the Carnival with a hybrid powertrain. It combines a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder and an electric motor for 242 total horsepower. Now, Kia has revealed how much the 2025 Carnival will cost, and prices have gone up by a few thousand dollars across the board. The new hybrid powertrain also requires an extra $2000.

The most affordable Kia Carnival remains the LX trim, which now starts at $37,895 (a $2900 increase over the 2024 model year). Stepping up to the LXS brings more features and the option for eight-passenger seating, and its base price jumps to $39,895. With a $41,895 starting price, the LXS is also the cheapest way to get the hybrid powertrain.

The Carnival EX gains snazzier 19-inch wheels and other interior goodies, and its base price climbs to $42,095. That's $1600 more than last year. The new Hybrid EX rings in at $44,095. Upgrading to the SX adds features like LED fog lights, two 115-volt power outlets, and dual sunroofs for $46,995 (a $3300 jump). The Hybrid SX again tacks on $2000 to the window sticker.

At the top of the Carnival range sits the SX Prestige, which sports darkened exterior trim and a standard heated steering wheel, among other features. The SX Prestige now costs $51,995—$53,995 for the hybrid—versus the 2024 model's $48,095 starting price.

While the Carnival's base price remains cheaper than that of the Toyota Sienna, every Sienna features a 245-hp hybrid powertrain, and the Toyota's $39,080 starting price comes in under the cheapest Carnival Hybrid. Both minivans are cheaper than the Honda Odyssey, which doesn't offer a hybrid model. The Chrysler Pacifica remains the only minivan with an optional a plug-in-hybrid powertrain, albeit one that costs over $50K.
